I probably am that one co worker. People give me that worried look a lot

im just grumpy and have workplace PTSD because of some bad co workers in the past. Also in every job Ive worked at, people act like its still high school. Social cliques and stuff. Its a joke

When I was younger I was quieter and people constantly joked that I would shoot up the place, they would remind me how nice they were to me. It actually really bothered me.

Actually, if there were a shooter I'd be one of the people to die trying to tackle them, I would immediately run out and try to find them.

You can't be a mass murderer unless you're a heartless psychopath, and you kind of have to be born that way. They do it because they are self-centered, don't think about anyone but themselves, and are psychopaths who just want people to pay attention to them. It's not just about being quiet and skinny.

It could have a lot to do with certain groups believing their own anger and pain are more important than other people's lives.

This. I was nice, quiet and didn't get angry much, so people used to joke that I'd explode and shoot up the place. I just don't have it in me though. (Even if I did snap one day, I'd only hurt the people who directly hurt me. I could never hurt any innocent bystanders.)
