Honestly I do not think some of those people are friendly with other celebs. It's like people who make movies or play on tv shows in that when it raps they probably go their separate way.

Like high school and college because most of us never see the people we went to school with and sometimes that can last a lifetime as people often go their separate ways never to cross paths again.

Also like high school in that many of them are two-faced and pretend to be friendly while working together but pretend to be awesome friends for ulterior motive reasons.

I'd say most celebs are narcissistic assholes who don't really care about anyone else except from the perspective of how you can use them to make yourself look better or network for better opportunities, and the "friendships" they're making are barely acquaintances. They're just better at acting like it means more.

Sort of the same way that the Academy Awards is just an excuse for Hollywood to pat itself on the back and tell themselves how awesome they all are. It's ego masturbation. Because the kind of person who desperately struggles and works to become an actor is the kind of person who constantly craves being in the spotlight and getting validated by strangers. It's not really a great recipe for empathy.

Pretty much most fictional accounts of it show that celeb funerals are largely insincere, but that could partly be an exaggeration.
