My place is completely trashed, I stopped seeing my personal trainer, I've called off work the past few days because I've had a project that I haven't been doing because I've been working from home and instead of doing that I've actually been gaming/eating/fapping/sleeping all day.

And now its hours away from work time and I haven't slept. I have to be up in a few hours so idk what to do.

And to top it all off, I'm posting it all here.

I have the days, but idk if I can afford to do that again. I think I've missed like 5 out of the last 15 days.

Sometimes you just need to kick yourself out of the funk and force yourself back to some kind of normalcy.

ive missed work like that before but as long as I went and gave an excuse to my boss at the time, they were usually pretty understanding (especially when I actually had the time off that I was using)

people usually seem to understand that sometimes you need that mental health time away. As long as you dont let it go on for too long

I took it off, I'm going to find some of my old sleeping meds and hopefully sleep it off.

Actual sleep, not long sleeping.

Happens a lot. My last depressive funk lasted several months and cost me my house.

You ever think about challenging fate itself by circumnavigating the world using only a homemade raft?

I don't have much of a life to throw away, but yeah. I've been there.

I mean, my situation would never be that desperate, but I have been breaking just about every meaningful relationship I've ever formed lately.

I've gotten to the point where I get into that funk pretty frequently but I know how to get out of it so I am not in that rut for more than a day or 2

Couldn't imagine taking off for a whole week unless it was a serious actual reason or anavoidable (sickness, injury that takes longer to heal), 3 days tops

However my apartment has been fairly messy for ages and now I'm forced to clean it because I have to move this year

I mean, that is probably what TC meant with the "throwing life away". If they didn't need their job they wouldn't be worried.

Its fine to take days off occassionally, but try to find someone irl you can talk to. PotD is going to be a mixed bag of helpful vs indifferent vs hateful people.

And I know its the end of the day, but try to do one productive thing before its over. Clean something, schedule something. Just one small thing.

I've taken mental health days off recently due to pretty heavy depression. But I've only taken 2 of those in my entire life. It's probably a better idea to look into counseling than to take sleeping pills and sleep the day away.
