Snake5555555555 02/21/23 1:10:03 AM #1:	So I was playing Hogwarts Legacy and I got to a point where you ~~enter a book and basically live out memories in this neat storybook graphic style with the specter of Death looming above you~~. I was immediately reminded of the famous Scarecrow sequences in Arkham Asylum and honestly this sort of thing is one of my favorite things games do; infrequent but awesome. I was hoping to compile a list of games that have these sorts of sequences, and I came up with a few rules that unites them all in my head (I wouldn't say they all have to apply but MOST of them): Changes up the main gameplay loop Leans towards psychological horror Seemingly messes with graphics, software, or potentially even hardware Is controlled by an overlooming entity A few examples: Batman: Arkham Asylum (obviously) God of War: Ragnarok (~~Fates sequence~~) Metal Gear Solid 3 (~~The Sorrow~~) Spec Ops: The Line (~~The Burning Tower~~) Guardians of the Galaxy (~~Star-Lord's~~ ~~Promise)~~) Resident Evil Village (~~House Beneviento~~) There's probably more that aren't coming to me right now, which is where you (hopefully) come in.
