Have you had COVID yet?

Currently, I'm one of the few people I know who hasn't had it yet. I've always been trigger-happy with hand sanitizer and cautious about keeping my food clean, so I'm not too surprised.

What about you?

Not that I've noticed, and given that I've been testing pretty much any time I showed any symptoms or after anything particularly high-risk, I'm pretty comfortable concluding that I haven't.

I had it before people knew what it was. I think it got it from people flying back from Christmas vacation.

This may surprise you, but the respiratory and digestive tracts come pretty close to one another. Cross-contamination between them isn't tremendously uncommon. As it happened, further research as the pandemic has progressed has found that transfer from surfaces isn't as significant a transmission vector for Covid as was initially suspected, but as a broader concept food hygiene can help to prevent respiratory illnesses.

Once that I know of. There were a couple times I got sick, once when it first started and then again during the winter of 2021-22. There weren't any tests available anywhere the first time, and there were no home tests the second time. They felt like regular colds, but so did the time I was actually able to confirm it with a test. I never had any of the normal COVID symptoms (unproductive cough, loss of smell or taste, or fever), even when multiple tests were saying positive.

Just once about 5 months ago. my co workers had it as well.

wasnt bad at all though. Felt like a mild cold for a day or two and then went away. Still isolated for the whole week but I felt fine. I took good care of myself though, so I attribute some of it to that

My wife and I made it to this past September, but finally caught it after going out to eat for our anniversary.

We'd gone out to eat a few times before that, so we kind of let our guard down, I guess.

Still, we're both vaccinated and boosted, so it didn't hit us too hard. Lost my sense of taste and smell for a few days, but I just used it as an opportunity to eat healthy crud like broccoli that I normally can't stand.

I know you love to dive head first into fear mongering but according to the CDC, "There is no evidence to suggest that handling food or consuming food can spread COVID-19."

No I never got it nor did I get the vaccine because I just used common sense and stayed away from people as much as I could and I always wore a mask outside of my home and I never allowed anyone in my home without a mask.

Haven't had it, but I'm sooo confident I caught it when it started but I was one of the non-symptom presenting people. I can't imagine how I didn't get it, was flying internationally in crowded airports and we were being told to not buy masks (not that any were available anyway)

At least once, probably twice. I didn't get checked the second time. I just called in sick and didn't leave my room until I was feeling better because I was sick enough that it didn't matter if it was covid. I wasn't doing anything anyway.

I think I had Omicron at the start of 2022. Got little more than a head cold, but I officially tested positive so I definitely had it.

Fully vaccinated currently, I had two shots (J&J and then Moderna) at the time I got it.

One time for sure last October. First my father had ity followed by my mother and finally I got it. I only had a cough for one day though and only felt weak for the next week or two. Honestly, the cold I got two months later was worse.

In retrospective it could have been that I had it before, in September of 2021 but the doctor I used to go to is so incompetent he couldn't tell me if it was COVID, influenca or a bronchitis.
