You get all these people who are fans of the same thing to the point of being knowledgeable on it. Instead of being friends they are extremely aggressive and mean to each other over minute things like Krillin vs Tien, or what character had an inconsistent power level at what part of the series.

I never understand the power level arguments. Once scouters where removed from the series it became pretty pointless to talk about.

The fans put about 20x as much effort trying decipher power levels than Toriyama did when he wrote the damn thing.

Not really. Its just Scotty arguing with himself. I think 80% of that board is just Scotty.

They're just stirring the pot for conversation because, you know, the franchise is in limbo.

Its mostly alts of the same 2-3 users. There are a couple users that legit love to debate over the same topics for years and its really sad.

Oolong and Puar needed more to do.

This board has a tendency of assuming everyone is an alt of everyone though.

I really don't think as many people on this board are Scotty as you guys think they are.

I'm not saying they are, but if you had a board full of Scotty clones, it would look like that.

It doesn't even seem like the fan base is aware that Akira Toriyama has the mind of a child. You'll get people doing legit math work to figure out each respective power level, but then every new part that comes out proves none of the creators are putting 5 minutes of thought into the consistency or story.

What you described sounds like my 5th grade experience as we all watched along with Toonami lol
