No, after her show in the 90s she didn't develop as a comedian.

Was this truly always her act's foundation? Was her sitcom super conservative or is CE just politicizing again? I am genuinely asking because I grew up in the 90's and don't remember the show well enough.

I just remember she had an unhealthy husband, a normal pretty girl daughter, a half ass goth daughter but not really goth. Just likes dark clothing and acts cynical. A generic boy son, and a sister who was gay. I want to say her boss was gay too. Did they have a dog even?

Not defending her and it is probably a bogus excuse but medication effects different people in different ways.

Medication is like booze: "A drunk man's words are a sober man's thoughts." I and none of the other people I know who took ambien experienced any racist views.

And there are also times we say things we don't mean. Again, condemning someone over inebriated ramblings is not always the best way to handle things.

Not even defending Roseanne, but people aren't defined by their worst moment in life. They have the capacity to change, or effect the world in positive ways after the fact.

Well for the third time I am not defending Roseanne. I am simply telling you guys that you shouldn't just dismiss people after the slightest social misstep when someone is intoxicated.

It's been a while since I've seen it, but I remember show was pretty pro-blue collar/poor people with bits like this:

Roseanne herself fell into the trap many older comedians get where they become out of touch and act like today's liberals are trying to cancel them for their offensive, but unfunny jokes. Roseanne even made a racist joke and tried to blame her medication. I take Ambien too and it never turned me bigoted though.
