PS5 has no (exclusive) games.

Even over 2 years after release, the PS5 is largely unnecessary for most gamers.

Unless you have not had a PlayStation since PlayStation 3, there's really no need for the PlayStation 5.

Not even, since a fair number of the PS4 exclusives, with the exception here and there like Bloodborne, are also going on PC like God of War 2018, Spider Man, Uncharted 4, and Horizon. Just get a decent rig.

It's because catering to the old systems holds back the developers fully commiting to the new advanced tech. This should not be hard to figure out >_>. Before I got a ps5, I planned on not buying new releases on the older gen because I didn't want an after thought. Which, we've since seen happen with games.

Elden Ring is 30 fps on PS4, and if someone prefers consoles...then yeah, that's a good enough reason to have one.

Exclusive isn't the same thing as purposely holding back on potential. Do you want every game made for ps4 to be optimized to work on Vita too? Take all that resources away from making it better to make sure people can play it on Vita.

Somehow I feel like you're tacking on unnecessary extras to the ps5 while only looking at the very minimum for a PC. And while you're tacking on the extra stuff for ps5, you're somehow not including the extras you get with that extra money spent.

He was obviously referencing the non disc version. And ps+ isn't a necessity. I stopped my subscription half a year ago and don't miss it

Even the PlayStation 4 argument is dumb. PlayStation 4s are currently $300 used on Amazon. So you could sell your existing PS4 and only pay 100-200 for an upgrade in the PS5.

It plays games way better than the PS4 so I've been enjoying the updates quite a bit on some older games, and newer games that have both versions for free as a nice bonus.

PC needs a gamer chair, 3 4k monitors, a gaming keyboard, bose surround sound headset and internet access to download the games ($105 for Comcast cable where I live per month)

I feel like you can't back this up with proof >_>. I just did a quick google and anything under $550 seemed sketchy and anecdotal. Most were $600-1k+. There was a article about getting a PC specifically to play Elden Ring that was $50 more than the more expensive PS5.

You might be able to find one if you're willing to go to the ends of the earth for it. But this conversation isn't really about what you can find if you get extremely lucky or find someone who doesn't know the worth of something they own. That's the only way I see it happening

Hey now, if you can just happen to get a few iffy used parts and don't count monitor, mouse, keyboard, windows copy, you can totally make a pc that can play elden ring just as good for a similar price.

But that price to play ps5 online is just stupid and unnecessary. Those hidden costs ffs.
