I heard a friend of mine is trying to get a job at Google because his cousin is somebody important in the company. According to him, he has a pretty good chance of getting a job there.

What can you even do in a place like Google with no college degree, no education, or no real qualifications? I cant imagine he can do anything except work food service for Google

That's what I remember. A lot of tech companies are dropping employees right now.

I dunno. My job has a day and night shift housekeeping staff that they hire. 2 on days and 1 on nights. I'd imagine bigger places have way more than that.

I couldn't clean up other people's literal shit though.

youd be surprised how many sorority bimbos and dumbass chads are hired at big companies to do easy as fuck jobs.

They take the easy positions with no accountability that sit between the smart, over-stressed, over-worked people with STEM, accounting and law degrees and the overpaid C-suite types, along with the ask well connected MBA-types that couldnt tie their shoe laces if they tried

^ I definitely know dumb people are working in big companies but dont they at least need a degree to even get hired there?

its hard for me to imagine those kind of people not working retail or fast food without any degrees or qualifications

there was plenty to do with no skills while the interest rates were low, but with the ongoing bloodbath in tech where noncritical roles are getting nuked left and right, i have no idea really

maybe some admin/assistant position
customer service/call center type roles

there are probably IT/hardware roles that will take a 2 year degree with some certs

But nothing that pays much

what major do you think would be appropriate

There is no "product management" degree
Its all soft skills and domain/market knowledge

you seem really intent on defending her.

product management is a multidimensional field that can be understood from a few different perspectives.

You may get into it into several different ways. For example there are product management certificates from prestigious universities:

https://scs.georgetown.edu/programs/496/certificate-in-product-management/

product management needs a very specific set of skills:

it makes sense that if youre going to manage a product you need to know about things such as project management, marketing, agile development or scrum, data analytics, etc.

she knows. Arabic language and a bunch of philosophical thoughts from dead old Greek guys. She certainly got there through privilege
