I was watching Como dice el dicho. It is an anthology series which has a different fucked up story each week. So a dad was upset with his daughter. He raped her and beats her up. He kept saying "Tu eres una golfa". She leaves for school with a black eye to take a test. She comes back home and her dad keeps saying "Tu eres una golfa" again and she hits him over the head with a flower pot and he is unconscious. Im not 100% fluent in Spanish. I thought Golfa mean she was a golfer. I was like wtf is wrong with being a golfer. And why would he rape her over it. After looking it up it means whore and now the story makes sense and a bit more fucked up. Basically he was jealous of her boyfriend so he raped her. I might need to stop watching this show it is depressing. --- "We'll never see Day-Lewis and Kubrick, or Kurosawa and Eastwood, but we have seen Bale and Nolan, a cinematic dream pairing come to life!" ... Without out the whole M-She-U stuff that goes on in CE with the English shows/movies. Todays episode of that show featured a rags to riches pop star story line. The subplot was the pop singer's sister was involved in a gang. It ended with the pop singer showing her sister the finished album and telling her that the album was selling well. She wouldnt have to be in a gang anymore. She was rich now. And as she handed her the album CD to listen to a rival gang member pulled up in a motorcycle and drive by shooting and killed her sister and a few other people from gang. Pop singer wasnt hit and cried over her dead sister.
