https://www.cdc.gov/std/herpes/screening.htm This is their reasoning This is because of the limits of a herpes blood test and the possibility of a wrong test result. The chances of wrong test results are higher for people who are at low risk of infection. There was another source where they also said along the lines of there is social and emotional harms associated with people who may get a false positive. So if you have no symptoms dont get tested. It should be added that herpes tests arent even included in some STD panels you have to specifically ask for it. What do you think CE? Is the CDC recommendation fair? --- "We'll never see Day-Lewis and Kubrick, or Kurosawa and Eastwood, but we have seen Bale and Nolan, a cinematic dream pairing come to life!" ... Anyone think maybe they should improve the tests if there is any chance of a wrong result? --- "We'll never see Day-Lewis and Kubrick, or Kurosawa and Eastwood, but we have seen Bale and Nolan, a cinematic dream pairing come to life!" ... Copied to Clipboard!

Irony posted... I mean getting tested for something that you have absolutely no symptoms of that isn't like a genetic disorder is kind of weird. One issue is this logic isnt used for other STDs like HIV, hepatitis B, gonorrhea, chlamydia testing. People get tested all the time for those and they may not have symptoms. --- "We'll never see Day-Lewis and Kubrick, or Kurosawa and Eastwood, but we have seen Bale and Nolan, a cinematic dream pairing come to life!" ... [LFAQs-redacted-quote] It isnt required for OF. Just the studios. OP was meant to be directed at CE and how CE felt about it. Would they not get tested like the CDC says or do you ignore them and whenever you get annual you ask for the HSV test. --- "We'll never see Day-Lewis and Kubrick, or Kurosawa and Eastwood, but we have seen Bale and Nolan, a cinematic dream pairing come to life!" ...
