On a scale of 1-10, 10 = Very happy, could not be happier, 1 = Hate it, could not hate it more

5. Good set up but missing the good job, which would be the other half. At 50k the world becomes a playground with my current lifestyle.

I make decent money, but my wife doesn't. So we're always on the verge of doubt.

In a good place. One bad car repair or medical thing isn't going to put me in the poor house.

What car do you have?

Maybe try to sell it and get a cheap toyota or honda. Several years used Carola or Civic or something like that will be cheap and will literally outlive you.

Fantastic job, and I have side hustles in art commission work and some novel revenue.

Not even 30 yet, so it can only go up from here.
I'm currently capable of visiting 5-6 countries a year. I'm aiming to be able to increase that to 10 by the time I'm 30.

This is what it looks like to take accountability, take action, and not be a loser who smokes pot.

Both me and my wife make decent money. Cost of living here is cheap af, so it's very inexpensive to be me. Only way to make it better us to make it more money or not have to work at all. I'll retire someday, I'm just impatient

Back and forth on Im doing ok and Im fucked. I need to get my shit together tbh.

Like, Im doing ok in that I have my own place, always make rent, rarely carry a credit card balance, put money into my companys 401k as well as an IRA every week.

But Im fucked because Im a catastrophe away from like being screwed. Like, my car just died and Im going to be getting a new one soon which is going to be a bit of a strain, so like if the person Im renting my place from decides to sell this place, theres nowhere near me that has reasonable rent.

I had an overnight hospital stay last year which cost me thousands even WITH insurance so Im terrified of adding to that so I dont ever go to the doctor. Ill likely never be able to afford a house so Ill just be pissing away money in rent forever.

So, Im doing well enough, but I really need to do better.

The government gives me 900 bucks a month for being mentally eccentric.

It's enough for my needs, and it sure beats suffering the indignity of having to contribute to society.

Has it happened yet or are you still saving up for it?

9/10

mortgage paid off on a house i'd be happy to retire in, no other debt
Enough savings to last a decade without touching retirement funds if i got laid off
Stable job (so far) that has consistently given me ~10% raises every every year
No major bills
Very grateful for my situation

I think 10/10 would be "retire in my 30s" money

Idk like a 7

i got laid off in January because my employer didnt want to give me a $5k raise, but I found a new job that is a $20k raise, and my wife just started picking up shifts again after our son was born so we have that extra income too

so right now, not totally great, but well be in a much better situation in like a month when we start getting paychecks

about to pay off my car and well have no debt other than the mortgage on our house which has gone up in price significantly since we bought

Have a mortgage with a decent rate and two paid off cars. Less expendable income than I'd like though cause I have an 8 month old and a wife who dont work.
