This version of Frank (at least in Season 1) wasn't so much about hunting down criminals as he was getting revenge for the death of his family. Once he took out everybody involved in S1, he retired from The Punisher persona. I'm not familiar with the Daredevil comics. I've read two or three in my lifetime, but I've seen the character in the Spider-Man cartoon from the 90s and the Ben Affleck movie. So I'm semi-familiar with him outside of an edgier setting. If they make him PG-13, I won't know what I'm missing. With a character like the Punisher, he really needs the freedom to engage in bloody violence.
