Still haven't watched it myself.

I THOUGHT I knew what the big twist was from reason the first chapter a while back, but apparently the REAL twist everyone freaks out about is at the end of this hour and a half chunk, so I guess I don't know the twist at all!

The FMA:B hivemind must have fallen asleep for their once a season hibernation.

Eh, we've been constantly getting new #1s. Kaguya S3, Spy x Family, Bleach, and Attack on Titan Final part 3 have all been in the spot in the last year, I think.

Indeed, the only question now is who can hold the title longest before Brotherhood Bros downvote the usurpurs with 1s until they're knocked off.

If the one piece anime officially "ended" after wano and then restarted with The Final Saga with some good animation in the first episodes it would be number 1.

I feel like a lunatic because I just haven't dug anything that's happened post Wano as far as the main crew goes. I don't care about any of these new characters they've introduced.

There's been some very cool cutaways but like...One Piece feels like it's having the same problem as JJK right now where I can't follow practically anything that's going on half the time.

I mean hell I didn't love Wano in the first place and the only thing I really wanted to come out of it didn't happen, so I'm not exactly primed to dig it lol.

Can't say I'm a One Piece hater by any means but I haven't felt passion for the series since 2010.

Ohhhhh I long for those days where I stayed up until 6AM marathoning 15 episodes a night.

I mean if you don't care about the larger world events of one piece that would explain why you don't like post time skip. Since the focus has definitely shifted some from the crew to the bigger picture.

And yeah the main cast isn't why people are loving the current stuff. They have had a few fun moments but they aren't the focus. We have literally marked off like two or three pre-ts wishlist items in a single arc with another one possibly coming soon. That's why people love it! Plus massive events happening in three places at once, tons of new info being revealed, and set up for even bigger things to happen in the next arc or two.

I can say I'm definitely not having trouble following what's going on, but people will be different there. It's definitely a lot happening at once.

Well that's the thing, is I love all the stuff when they leave the Straw hats, but I just don't care about anything WITH the Straw hats. They barely feel like they matter anymore on an individual basis, they're just a force of nature.

It's only been something like 20 chapters since the end of Wano and the pacing has sped up even more recently. Egghead has been excellent. Though I do wonder if Oda's health might be in question since he's been taking breaks very frequently now. Almost two weeks off every other month while he times them with WSJ breaks so they've been painful.

Just got back from seeing Suzume, had to be dubbed due to showtimes but the dub was fine enough.

I enjoyed it, especially the music. I'd probably place it above Weathering With You but under Your Name. And I still enjoy Weathering With You.

Magical Destroyers, the only magical girl show where the girls go on a shared Acid trip for half the episode.

The best magical girl transformation sequences ever, and the only one involving Surstrmming.

Well if you wanted more nightmare fuel and angst, rwby sure delivers.

That's hilarious and awesome

Decided to give Oshi no Ko a try, despite having pretty low expectations. I still don't especially agree with all of the hubbub, but the show was fine with a few good moments. I don't know if it's going to play more into the thriller angle or the idol drama angle from here on out, but I think it has a lot more potential in the former, at least for me personally as a watcher. (Idols as a premise has an extremely low success rate with me which is at least part of why I was skeptical from the start)

I will say I was somewhat lukewarm on Kaguya-sama for a long time also, and that eventually turned into one of my favorites.

Guess I'm sticking with it at least.

been watching some cardcaotor sakura on netflix. i didn't watch much of the 4kids dub, but man i miss those voices compared to the one netflix has which is kinda brutal. i guess it has to do with censorship?

After 10 episodes of Flying Witch, I'm calling it quits. It was just so very dry. I get that it's an iyashikei, but I was just bored in a way that I wasn't with Super Cub. The best character is probably Chito, who is a cat. The rest of the cast, sans maybe Chinatsu, just did nothing for me.

With that dropped, time to pick up Rifle is Beautiful as my next off-season show

The Boruto manga is expected to take a 3 month break following the upcoming CH.80. In line with the anime taking a break before "Part 2" later this year.

I adore Flying Witch, but it definitely isnt for everyone. A lot of iyashikei have funny comedic moments (like Laid-Back Camp) or deep themes (like Super Cub). Flying Witch, meanwhile, was pretty much nothing but relaxing vibes as you follow a witch's daily life. I think even people who enjoy the subgenre would need to be in s certain mood to enjoy Flying Witch. It's amazing at what it does, though!

I gave Flying Witch a few episodes when it was airing, but yeah.

It's one of the shows that made me realize I just can't watch stuff like that anymore.

I haven't watched any anime lately (mostly I've been playing Project Zomboid) but a few weeks ago I watched a bit of Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina. I'd hoped it would be similar to Flying Witch. It, uh, wound up having a much darker tone! I'm still excited to get back to it, though.

I don't even like all that many iyashikei series, but I like Flying Witch quite a bit. But I'm a huge sucker for magical realism.
