A mother was holding what was allegedly alcohol while the well respected wrestler MJF was nearby. MJF grabbed the drink, and tossed it in the child's face. His response, later, was that the 'kid looked thirsty'.

How does this make you feel, CE? Did the child look thirsty? Or was this taking things too far?

Apparently he got all kinds of signed shit after the show, got to meet everyone and got free tickets to Dynamite

He apparently didn't know it was alcoholic, but the mom was still pissed. And he got to come backstage after the show.

This isn't the first time people have brought up his fan interactions. A few years ago people were pissed that he flipped off a kid during a photo or something. The dad was like, nah, this is what I expected from MJF, I'm not mad. But people were mad for him.

I love MJF.

I met him once at, of all things, a charity toy drive.

And even with it being for charity, he was still charging people $20 to take a picture with him.

When I got to his table with my son, I gave him the $20. He looked at my son and said "Oh Well, there goes your college fund!".

If it was a grown man getting alcohol dumped on him, it would still bother people, just not as much.

Throwing alcohol in children isn't seen in a positive light.

It was water and it was staged. If it was alcohol anyone/everyone would have sued for assault and gotten paid really well.

The staff smoothed it over with the kid fortunately and he was a good sport.

He's no Stunt Granny, but the child was a pretty fun wrestling prop.

Definitely wasnt staged. Tony acknowledged it in the post-show press conference and while the sports entertainers dip in and out of kayfabe in those, he does not

There is no way, in a million fucking years, WWE would not snatch MJF up if he left AEW. He wouldn't be out the door before WWE would be offering double the highest amount AEW would offer. They'd do whatever they were capable of to keep him off of AEW screens.

Same with Omega, Bucks, and pretty much any wrestler there.

If they can even somewhat stifle AEW, they will do it. WWE doesn't even care about using some of them I'd imagine. They just want to hurt AEW.

If that did happen, which I could 100% see, he'd still be off AEW television which is what WWE would care about.

But I do think he'd be given a looser leash than most in any case. Probably akin to his promo video from Tough Enough.

Yeah when we were kids the Attitude Era was the coolest thing ever, but really most of it was trashy bullshit.

The only thing ive seen him on was as a guest in Impractical Jokers. Dude was pretty funny though.

That's what I was thinking. It actually drove me away from watching WWE.

I don't know how you made it past the early/mid 2000s with the Reign of Terror and the start of WWE using soap opera writers to write storylines.

There's a great part in an episode of Talk is Jericho with Edge and Paul Heyman as guests together. Heyman goes a lot into the inner workings of the brand split and how they were viewed by top brass. It's a great listen.

Ruthless Aggression being miles better than the Attitude Era is the hill I'm dying on. The majority of AE stuff does not hold up, whether it's the content or the wrestling itself. While Ruthless Aggression was "edgier" to the point cringe at times, the Smackdown Six and Heyman being the booker was finally the start of WWE adopting a modern style of pro wrestling that they had needed to embrace for years.

Except the Champion on Raw was HHH and his reign from 2002-2005 was terrible and all he did was cut long boring promos and bury talent. It was agonizing and awful television.

I liked Raw during that time, funny enough. Not gonna say it was the absolute best, bit it had good moments.

Like Shelton vs Triple H, that was fantastic.
