I thought he wasn't being serious and was mocking me, cause he has hit on girls before coming to that question, and get giggles from them and all and chatted up with some of them. This is the guy tell a random neighbor a jokingly "Good job champ!" one time just messing around. But then, he would in one year act all melancholy and quiet, but he is usually like that in school. I would try to act like I'm the class clown in school, but usually with mixed results. Anyway, do you approach girls shyly or do you just go all out and do the Trump approach? But that's true for every social interaction with me regardless of any romantic or sexual interest. I'm pretty quiet until someone opens me up and then I don't shut up. If I'm into a girl and I'm pressuring myself to make a move I'm sweating bullets and acting weird. Girls hate being asked out when they don't want to be, trust me it's no fun doing it either. At least if you're me. Getting rejected is the worst. Courting is like any other human activity that sucks, but we have to do it somehow. And for men in that's just putting your dignity and well-being on the line. There was a girl that was really into me a while ago, I could tell, I put off asking her out for months, acted all nervous, and ruined the whole thing basically.
