A good chunk of the population would either refuse to believe it was happening, actively support Axis or Just asking questions it.

There has been a legit war with bloodshed, tragedy and death in the past year and people meme about it as if its a big joke. Never mind WW2 and the holocaust, if 9/11 happened today people would not only meme about that too, but the victims would probably pull out their phones as the plane flies straight into them.

I mean you say that but in the US there was plenty of that at the time

Before Pearl Harbour the US population did not want to get involved and there was even opposition to letting fleeing Jews into the country.

Pearl Harbour changed public opinion but it wasn't unified.

You're kidding yourself if you claiming there was no one in America making excuses for Germany at the time.

Some of them even outright deny it is real. I've seen people who claim the Ukraine war is fake. They think the entire war is not actually happening and any news footage seen is all actors.

Yeah I completely agree, it would be WAY more unified than during actual WW2. Probably because the US would likely be the instigator this time, but still lol. It took a massive campaign of British ego-stroking to get us into the war, and even that wasn't enough. The USA has a long history of isolationist policy when it comes to European wars; nobody was unified about joining in.

Thank God for Japan pulling a Zero Requiem. They truly did save the world.
