Having to bring more to a relationship than an income has been the hardest thing for men to adapt to. It's forced a generation of boys that were still socialized on being stoic and only showing certain emotions to now have to gain that emotional intelligence as adults.

Plus you might actually have to wash your ass properly to be seen as competitive, which is a truly herculean task for some

It used to not matter because women were functionally forced to seek out men, almost regardless of their personalities due to social and economic pressure. Now that that's been removed, many women have rightly decided that it's far more enjoyable to be alone than with a guy who sucks.

I do feel for guys who don't have the skills or the looks, it can be pretty hard to acquire them as an adult. But don't let that difficulty lure you into a redpilled mindset. That's not going to help you.

I remember reading in the report it wasnt just getting into relationships with women. Men these day arent even able to make friends with other men.

Women are wanting men to bring more to the table. They dont want to work and the take care of most of the house chores and kids in addition to taking care of a man.
Women would rather be alone than do that.

And with what is happening with abortion rights in parts of this country, its only going to get worse for these man babies. Because no woman wants to take the chance on getting pregnant with their child. So women will be even more selective on whom they date.

Those women have dated the dregs of society and have have decided theyd rather be alone than deal with more bullshit. My sister is one of them, she goes out weekly with her friend group (consisting of both men and women) but has no desire to date after 2 bad relationships. The second guy threatening her with a gun and stealing from her just made her nope out of dating.

There's no vitriol or saying that they're dregs. I mean I'm single and I'd prefer not to be. The truth is, I never learned how to flirt and that's held me back.

Some of the women who are single are choosing to be, enjoying life as one of the first truly independent generations of women. But yeah, at least based on online dating, a lot of these women never really....developed personalities. They're on an app looking to talk, but don't know how to hold a conversation and some even explicitly state they want the guy to do everything. Some of them have pretty old fashioned ideas about gender roles that are hard to maintain in modern society unless they really bring something special to the table, either looks or personality.

Well, duh. Women have more agency and choices than ever to be selective in choosing the person they want to be with, if anyone. This isn't the old days where your dating options are just who is in the general area anymore. And from what I've seen and experienced, men (generally speaking, myself included) just don't have the skillset to successfully navigate the new dating dynamics. Of course it's going to be harder.

Your anecdotal evidence aside, this is just incel logic but with the genders swapped. Women Going Their Own Way. It's just biased how you think that when one gender is single it's because they choose to be, and for the other it's because they deserve to be. You know, I didn't really expect anyone to double down on such a shit take. You ever think that maybe those women do actually have personalities, but just aren't as outgoing as you'd want? That's what works for some people/couples. The problem isn't that certain gender roles are completely outdated, it's that people shouldn't all be expected to conform to them like it's the only way a relationship should function. For some couples, the historical gender roles are reversed because that's what works for them. There isn't a one-size-fits-all type of relationship, and some people prefer more rigid gender roles to more flexible ones. If that means they have a harder time finding someone, that's tough but it's still their choice to prioritize that.
