A couple of times a year but I used to do it way more in my full time sneakerhead days

Whenever they develop a hole

When they start falling apart

Dress shoes for work = once every 3 years or so

Casual shoes = Like once a decade

I typically don't buy new shoes until the ones I already had have worn down until they will soon not be able to function as shoes any longer.

I have boots right now, so I haven't bought shoes in a while

I'm probably getting new shoes for the first time in a years or so soon

Once every two years or so.

When the strings I tie to keep them together just don't do it anymore.

Id say every six months or so

Too often. I hate shoes because of how much I love them

Like once or twice a year, cheap shoes on discount, I HATE how expensive they are.

I just get generic "George" shoes at walmart and wear them until they wear out.
They've only gone up from $25 to $30 or so over the past decade.
