Ive been doing some reflecting and looking back on my youth and realized that ecology was a pretty prevalent theme through my life that I enjoyed. Before going back to school though (had to put it off for financial reasons) Im going through some biology courses on Khan to brush up on basics since its been so long since Ive been out of school.

Have you been learning about new subjects lately? Do you enjoy them? If you havent, what have you been wanting to learn about and whats been keeping you from learning?

I've been learning about Power Man and Iron Fist lately. It's been fun.

I'd go to school if it was more self paced and easier to get into. I've got like 3 or 4 different college class credits floating around cause it's such a pain to get that stuff all transferred.

why aren't all colleges in the same country connected at this point? It's easier to share your medical info than your college history.

If i was to ever go for a degree, almost guaranteed I'd have to take two classes I've taken before.

Honestly thats fair. I know that a lot of colleges are connected on a statewide level but it would be neat to have that interconnectivity to give folks more options. Though logistically I dunno how that would work.

Power Man and Iron Fist are pretty cool from what Ive seen. I remember Iron Fist being in the Spider-Man cartoon from the early 2010s I think?

Because being connected would both cost them money and mean they could no longer charge you $20 to mail a different college a copy of your transcript like it's 1648.

Because I didn't always have good medical insurance I started studying herbal medicine. And when I got my animals I started learning about what kinds of plants were growing around here, particularly the poisonous ones. This sort of snowballed with me reading about foraging and poisons in general. Toxicology just seemed like the next logical step.
