The environment getting worse across the world is not "bad luck". The victims of war, human rights abuses, genocide did not have a run of bad luck. When your problems are the result of the actions of others, sometimes deliberately malicious, it is not your luck that is in question

I know a lot of times things can suck shit and you feel a sense of hopelessness all around but we should still try to live the best life we can and try to be happy. I'll leave with this:

I won't say full-blown "collapse" but individual states are going to be absolute nightmares for people to live in and the other states are gonna be overrun with people trying to escape

That stuff matters too but let's be honest; people who won't be around within the next 10 years probably shouldn't be making definitive decisions on the future of the country.

Not all boomers are assholes, but they did experience a radically different version of the country and their solutions probably aren't applicable to today's society.

How much more can we be squeezed? We're all in debt, shopping at Dollar General and Walmart, eating out every day because we don't have free time to cook a decent fucking meal (and even if you do have time some communities live in food deserts). Boomers are selling their homes and going bankrupt from elder care medical debt, young adults are living with unreal student loans, we have credit card and car loan bubbles, nobody owns a fucking house anymore, it's crazy.

That's not what I said or even implied and I apologize if that's what you came to understand. Again, I acknowledge the terrible things happening in our world and too want things to be better. However, acting like we are on the verge of collapse is ridiculous, especially if it's from personal misfortunates, and being a doomer describes what you guys are doing. I understand you guys feel justified in your logic and you think you're being realists. I understand the term makes you feel stagnated and oversimplified.
