Waiters wouldnt be able to earn tips if restaurant owners didnt let them serve food in their restaurant

It's ridiculous to let serving staff basically steal tip money without giving the owners their cut

Stop tipping until the cost is baked into menu prices so the owners can get their fair share

I mean, that'd only put them at $12 an hour-ish, and frankly, in most decently trafficked restaurants that'd be a huge pay decreese.

One of the things that fucks servers the most is how taxes are handled for their tips.

Cooks get paid way more than servers and more often than not receive benefits like Healthcare because they work 40+ hours a week, depending on the restaurant. Most servers get cut before they can reach 40 hours and get paid way less than cooks.

Servers work hard af for little pay from the restaurant itself.
