I've heard of people doing each of these frequently. Personally I bathe in the shower and do these while I'm drying off and don't really see how doing them while the water is running saves time, unless your idea of showering is just getting wet.

I shave twice a week and it's usually in the shower. I'll pee in the shower if I need to, but I usually use the bathroom before I hop in, so that's rare. Never brush my teeth in the shower.

I would pee in the shower if I really had to go but typically I'll go before I get in if I feel the urge and I'm not in there long enough to go from zero to bladder bursting so it doesn't happen often

I used to brush my teeth in the shower growing up, but not anymore. No particular reason why I stopped though

Brush my teeth. It takes about 60 seconds for the water to warm up and I brush while I wait, then for another 60 seconds after that while I'm enjoying the hot water.

i used to shave and brush my teeth at the same time but i do that separately now after forgetting which hand was which

I use an electric shaver to buzz my head in the shower before actually turning the water on. It's easy to collect the hair and toss it in a bin I keep just outside the shower - that's definitely the most convenient way for me to shave.

I shave my nuts in the shower

I shave. My skin is sensitive and hurts if it isn't softened with water a bit first. I brush my teeth first and last thing each day, and usually bathe sometime during the day, not the evening.
You don't want to pee in the bath. If I need to, I step out and use the toilet.

Do you stand inside the toilet when you pee? I didn't think so.

It is just such a gross and completely avoidable/unnecessary habit. I can't comprehend the rationalization behind it.

Im not a shower pee man myself, but I feel obligated to point out that people who do it do not pee directly onto their own feet, so its pretty different from standing in a pee-filled toilet.

unless you mess it up, the pee should be going from dong to drain without bodily contact

To me it's less about the pee that goes into the drain and more about the splash/drip

If you can get everything perfectly into the drain great. If you're dripping and splashing onto parts of the shower floor then yeah kinda gross. I'm not sure enough of my aim to want to play that game.

But the water washes it all away? Youre cleaning yourself in the shower anyway.

I'm not really cool with the amount of cleaning residual water gives. It's not sufficient. Urine stinks.

Maybe the day before I'm cleaning my shower for real it would be fine but yeah you need to clean toilets and even urinals for a reason "the water is carrying it off its no harm!!" no it is gross and becomes gross much faster than it does if you just don't do that.

You're right we should probably just shit in our beds because of all the unsanitary conditions out there. There is no saving us.

If you piss in the shower directly towards the drain BEFORE soap, honestly whats the harm?

This is such a frustrating topic for me that gets to me on so many levels.

First of all, it is a completely avoidable and unnecessary act to pee in the shower. People who do it, do it intentionally as part of their shower routine. And it is absolutely disgusting.

I mean, you act like a pee stream is always this perfect line between you and wherever you are aiming. Are you not considering the mists and sprays and occasional sidestreams and splatter at the impact site? And I doubt all of you are hydro homies, meaning that your pee is sometimes very yellow and stinky. I really hope you are thoroughly cleaning that shower on a very regular basis!

I mean, maybe if you are the only one who uses that shower, I guess you can wallow in your own filth if you want. Still makes you disgusting, but that's about it. But if you share that shower with other people, not only are you a disgusting slob, but you're also an inconsiderate asshole for making other people shower in your piss remnants. And remember, this is a completely avoidable and unnecessary act.

The final frustrating thing is the denial. I don't know if I ever met a shower pisser who was like "yeah, I know its kinda gross but I do it anyway". They always stand their ground that it's not disgusting at all, but rather a perfectly normal action. It's kinda like trying to reason with a predatory reseller that what they are doing is wrong. You can't rationalize with them. They are firm in their beliefs that they're not wrong. Now I'm not comparing predatory resellers to shower pissers, I'm just comparing their defensive denial of what is in my opinion a blatantly disgusting act, that, which bears repeating, is absolutely unnecessary to do in the first place.

Sigh....I almost feel like this is the other side of the coin to the whole wiping conversation. So many people don't wipe properly after they take a poo. You know, the people who get skid marks in their underwear because they follow "three wipes and your done" or "ball up the toilet paper, one big wipe, and your done" or "I don't wipe because it's gay." There are so many personal hygiene quirks people develop because they don't teach this stuff in school and parents don't really reinforce it once the kid is independent in the bathroom.

Humans are such funny creatures. And the only ones that use toilets. And some choose to hold in their urge to urinate in the shower. And then look down on people who dont. Fascinating.

This part is very confusing. What do you think people who piss in the shower are doing? Taking a full shower and then pissing on the way out?

The largest pee you could have is around 700 ml. Your average showerhead puts out 9 liters per minute. Theres more piss on your average public bathroom doorknob than youre leaving in the shower.

When you wash your hands do you let soap run over the hands and don't use any lather?

It's not the most disgusting thing in the world but playing dumb about it doesn't change the facts your shower is less sanitary than someone who doesn't. If you're at peace with diluted filth residues and odors slowly accumulating in the place you're getting clean in by all means continue but pretending it's completely sanitary is absurd.

I'm not judging anyone just stating facts. I will still shake your hand and I will still use your shower, because while it's gross it's not super gross, but you are compromising your sanitation whether you choose to be in denial about it or not.
