There's sooooo many cutscenes and not-gameplay going on. I know I can just skip them all, but then I'm losing out on half the fun of a Persona game.

I just wish there was like... 20% less of it, or that it was less front loaded. Or if those 20% were more Yusuke-centric.

I played through the original version twice - in a row - to get the Platinum.

I later bought Royal and patinium'd it as well.

You can skip and fastforward a lot if you already know what happens - but yeah.

Also, Ryuji is a fucking obnoxious character. He's not the worst Zell ever, but that's mostly because everything around him makes up for his existence. This time I'm actually doing his confidant storyline and he's so much less obnoxious. Why does this duality need to exist? Make him more like that in the main game.

Same here.

.....I then turned around and bought a PS5 copy because it's steelbook edition dropped to 24.99 during a black friday sale on amazon.

Going to platinum that game for the 3rd time at some point or another. (I just beat the 1st palace on the PS5 version and decided that I really did have enough of persona 5 at the moment, lol)

I've been complaining the same thing for years. They really need an option to skip the whole cutscenes.
It was quite bad on p3 and p4 too, but p5 easily worse.

Incredible game with an incredible story. Beat it, then immediately played it again. 180 hours. Platinum.

I'm replaying it lately, and my main complaint is that there are 10,000 tutorials spread throughout the game and you can't turn any of that shit off.

The world record speedrun for royal is 14 hours, so I imagine a normal playthrough even with cutscenes skipped would be around 30 hours+

i'm having a really hard time thinking of games with worse pacing. it's not that p5 is a bad game, far from it, but the glacial pace of the game combined with a mediocre main cast made the experience pretty middling for me and i wouldn't play the game again.
