Starting it now

I started it up on pc this morning. Game runs...ok on my 3080, but it could be better. My main issue is that the hdr is either way way too bright and over saturated, or dim and washed out. If I turn off hdr, the whole game looks dim. I've heard there are alot of hdr issues though, so maybe it will get fixed. Haven't played long enough to say much about the gameplay or story yet.

I havent adjusted my settings and the visuals look good so far. Havent tried performance yet

Combat feels really satisfying. Love the new stances and force possibilities

Game runs great on quality on XSX, I usually kick it to performance for smoother gameplay but this feels good. Looks amazing, good opening so far.

Yeah I about missed the first Stim, I hope it was the first, or I missed one lol. I remember backtracking a lot during the first game and picking through every map the best I could.

Kinda annoying that these little ass chickens one shot ylu with full health on hard lol

Slow going through the first area given I have to stop and read all the Aurebesh I see.

Oh i'm old and can't be bothered anymore, i'm playing on normal. I'll rarely play a Dark Souls game, but my days of playing stuff on hard/nightmare are probably done.

Back at it now, still early on but gonna try to sink in a few hours and lose more sleep before work.

Feels like I can't actually dodge his dodge-only lunge.

Well I found Limgrave.

(Or at least the kind of area I wasn't expecting that definitely gave me the vibes of a larger open-world than I came to expect)

I just finished the part in the tunnels with the ancient droid under Greez's place. Taking my time to explore all I can so I don't miss much.

Now I am also fighting Spoggdo of Froggdo.

I think I can manage since I just finished the Forest Array and had (what I assume to be) my first fight with Danganronpa.

Still a tough fight for me. I kinda feel like the timing to dodge on a couple of its attacks are just wrong. The tongue attack is also dumb.

LOL, found a way to cheese Spawn of Oggdo. Up above the platform are two dudes you can pull down with Force Pull, then take all 3 of you down into the fight. 3 on 1 Spawn of Oggdo is MUCH easier. XD

im running max/ray tracing and it is insane

Also, visuals aside, i feel like the cut scenes are really well shot & directed
It feels like a legit star wars movie sometimes

Unlocked blaster stance last night, and the cross-guard today

not crazy about the saber combos in blaster stance, feels like youre using a rapier/fencing sword or something

cross-guard is slow but hits like a Mack truck

I do wish you could use 3 stances, double sided light saber is king for crowds

What platform are you playing on? I'm on PS5 and it hasn't looked super great even on quality mode, but I didn't want FPS to suffer with things like ray tracing turned on

Beat the Spawn this morning.

And then I find a hidden battle and OH COME ON.

Also I appreciate that you can buy clothes that make you look like Dash Rendar or Kyle Katarn.

Don't dodge right off. You gotta wait a couple seconds. Same for his lunges.

Anyone else not really feeling the other stances besides the basic one... I have the other four now and I'm either not enjoying them or am worse with them...

I still just have the 3 and use dual wield and double bladed. Off today so gonna play more, haven't had much time yet.

The double-bladed stance comes in handy for a lot of fights due to how agile you are

I feel the Cross Guard one is good for one on one against more tanky guys who like to block. Slam them a couple times with that stance and you break their guard.

I had problems just getting through that small section where it makes you use the Cross Guard... Breaking guards easier sounds awesome but I'd die before it becomes useful...

The blaster one is pretty great. Crossguard isn't as fun as I'd hoped, it's a little too slow.

Finished what I assume is the first trip to that moon last night. I like the aesthetic of the abandoned factory with the droids left behind that are a stammering mess.

I also appreciate that Cal is staunchly pro droid rights. The entire trip he shows empathy for how they were treated.

So how are you folks enjoying the exploits of Scuba Steve?

I liked Round 2. Was definitely a new perspective on a saber fight.
