--Zero- 04/29/23 12:22:28 AM #1:	This is the only Scream movie where I was able to figure out who the killers were almost from the very first time they were introduced. After the cop dad was introduced I knew when he mentioned losing a son that it was connected to the killer from Scream 5. I didnt know Ethan would be one of the 3 killers in this movie though. I was pretty convinced that Quinns death was faked and that Quinn and the dad were the killers. What bothered me so much was no one important died. 3 main characters you thought were def dead survived. Gale, Mindy, and Chad can all survive just because. You had 7 freaking characters survive this time! The cute shirt guy Danny had no chemistry with Sam. Sam and Kirby felt so out of place with Kirbys bad acting along with the cop and Danny. The script was terribly written too. How many people are going to get stabbed in the stomach and still be able to move around like nothing happened? There was so much wrong with this movie that it felt so tame and you could tell it was made within a year. I felt like I was watching a Halloween Kills quality movie with the writing and acting. Then youve got the cheesy as fuck Sam feeling the essence of her father talking to her and pushing her to be a Ghostface herself. The looney toon like scene with the Asian girl who was also stabbed in the stomach climbing across the ladder between the two buildings for one of the killers to start shaking the ladder until the girl falls to her death. After Ethan gets stabbed in the back of the mouth he comes out of nowhere screaming trying to go after the final girls was hilariously bad. Sam and the cop (who had a gun) running at each other screaming before tackling each other off the balcony was so terribly executed. This got really good reviews for a horror movie too and yes 77% is great for a horror movie lol. Originally, Rise was supposed to be HBO Max only, but test audiences were so confused because it was so good and agreed it should have been in theaters instead. But coming from a guy who also loves the Fast and Furious franchise, I guess it just doesn't bother me and I've become numb to that lol. The only one I wished they had followed through with was Gale. Mostly because she's not needed at this point. I didn't even miss Sidney. Fact is, I love the new cast, the NYC setting and the various set pieces that utilized the environment. It was very tense, notably that market scene and the subway. Good shit. For me, Scream 6 is neck and neck with Scream 2, convenient since Scream 6 follows Scream 2's story elements lol. 1 > 2 = 6 > 5 > 3 > 4 --- I Love Sasha Banks/Mercedes Mone!
