Every white collar resum these days lists python
Every person i've hired (non engineering) with it on their resume cant code shit

Its always "i took python 101/clicked through a datacamp course and have never done a real project"

I've been using python for 4 years now. Most cs people would probably scoff at my functional code. But it gets the job done in a clear and easily understood way. Easily modified.

Thats all i want tho

Real production quality code is great but im just looking for people who can write something scrappy and quick for efficiency

What i get are people who give up on the first error they didnt bother to read

Ig chatgpt will make it moot soon enough

Python isn't that hard to refresh on though. Everybody that knows C can pick it up.

Now Lua... fuck that garbage.
