Not sure if this is everywhere (sure it's a bit easier in the cities), but it took me with the dental insurance rep like 30 phone calls to find a damn dentist that wasn't like 6+ months out. Sooo many not taking new patients or straight up not answering their phones, lol.

Guess I have no one to blame for waiting so damn long to get these wisdom teeth pulled.

It is six months out because most people schedule their next appointment when they're in for their current appointment, and standard cleanings are typically six months apart.

It's not just that, even when talking to the rep on the phone Covid was a big hammer in these wait times.

I'm planning to get a dentist appointment too, haven't had a teeth cleaning or checkup in 6 years.

Now that I have insurance I'm more concerned about which is the "best" place to go.

Sucks about the wisdom teeth, is it painful? When mine came in no one even told me about the existence of wisdom teeth and I was freaking out about still growing teeth at 19. They never did get removed

Yeah, I haven't been in about 10+ years myself, part insurance and part lazy, lol. I was nervous cause reading reviews a lot of places that were covered by my insurance seemed meh at best, except for a few that of course were booked or not taking new clients. I somehow lucked out by getting in at a highly regarded clinic. It is an hour away, but after 30 failed phone calls, I was taking whoever would answer.

Well the pain has been up and down, but at it's worst a few days ago it was fairly bad. But the fucking headaches are constant. They're not even severe ones, but just mild ones for multiple days drive ya mad. Thankfully the pain has backed off a bit mostly, however my dental rep was very insistent on me going to the ER for antibiotics if the pain gets too bad. Probably cause of a joke I made while we were talking though, haha.
