im like 2 episodes left on the first season and Im loving it! its definitely like an anime Game of Thrones with vikings and shit!

some of the CGI doesnt sit well with me at times but thankfully it doesnt detract from my enjoyment of the show. lol

Season 2 is a dramatically different experience, but loving that too

definitely growing attached to some of these characters, specially Askelaad and Thorkell.

even the Prince is finally starting to win me over after he acted like a wimp for most of the season! lol

so i guess Thorfinn didnt have his revenge on Askelaad after all. already had a feeling this was gonna happen...

now moving on to season 2 next. dunno what to expect but im excited for it!

I'm up to date with the manga, and I'm not sure if I'm feeling the latest arc so much, but I've enjoyed the series besides that.

I wasn't a fan of the second arc. But I'll return for S3 though.

I've read the first volume and it's amazing. I like how the combat is based on skill and strategy, not asspull power-ups and special abilities inherited from some dude who lived 10k years ago. It's a nice break from all that crap.

Askelaad vs Thors was fucking epic.

Haven't watched anything from S2 yet, but there was a point where I was caught up with the manga. Maybe I'll catch up when it's over, just like I did with Trigun Stampede.

Just a warning from someone who loves S1, it basically changes genres after that. I never even bothered with S2 since the manga soured me.

I caught up to the manga but after a certain point while doing so it became a real chore because the genre shifted, going from a seinen to a shounen.

man, i just started S2 and it's already a huge departure from the previous one. Thorfinn looks empty and gloomy af!

Season 2 is slower and wasnt a fan of the beggining, but the character development and how real it gets makes it stand out even more than S1. I felt like Thorfinn wasnt even a real character during s1. Just personified revenge on a walking stick.
