Start talking a lot about how much you love your kids and your dog. It doesn't matter if you don't actually have any, just try and find a way to bring them up in every conversation. Also, be sure to insist on showing pictures of them as much as possible.

After about a month of this they'll insist on allowing you to stay home.

Show that you're valuable to the company, but a liability in the office.

How long is your commute? You could argue that the time you waste just getting to the office could be better spent actually working

There are a lot of remote jobs out there. Just tell your boss that on [insert date] you will be working in a remote position, and that can either be with your current company or somewhere else, that's it. Then the ball's in their court.

I work for the gov, my boss doesnt have the ability to change the policy, it would have to go all the way up to the director

Im about 50% overpaid relative to other positions, even if I can find a full time wfh position theres nothing that will match my salary. Not to mention my currentl my low workload (16 hrs a wk)
