So, the games are good, well-made games. But Im so tired of how samey they are. Medieval dark fantasy, dargons, magicians, demons, goblins, giant rats, etc. Castle, dungeons, forests, same stuff.

I want a futuristic one. Where we play as robots who can equip and uneqip parts of our body. Imagine equipment load altering player movement. Too heavy of an arm, so it makes your robo guy drag to the right a bit. Light builds could do cool robotic stuff like high jumps, maybe even hovering. Equip lasers, treads for legs, maybe builds that dont even have legs and just hover.

Or even something brighter. Dark Souls gameplay, but with something more colorful. A game that looks as colorful as Scarlet Nexus, but actually fun to play.

I was thinking recently that it would be neat to see a really colorful, lighthearted, cartoony Soulslike game. There was that one crab game, but I don't remember hearing anything about it since it was announced and also I doubt it plays that much like From's games lol.

Armored Core has that exact type of customization youre talking about. The gameplay isn't what I'd call souls like, but the story telling often is

Bloodborne and Sekiro arent dark fantasy, but they dont stray TOO far from the Dark Souls aesthetic.

One of the scariest moments Ive had in a game was going through the forest in Elden Ring at night, and suddenly I got surrounded by bears.
