You can typically get a better sense of a game by reading a few fan reviews and separating out the mindless fans & mindless haters. --- Pronounced "Whup-pot". Say it. Murray's propensity for promising the moon when all he has is a small rock means I'll be approaching any future Hello Games projects with a healthy dose of skepticism, but as far as NMS itself goes, by all accounts it's a pretty solid game now and holding the disastrous launch against it just deprives you of being able to enjoy that, for no real reason. --- This is my signature. Personally, I tend to look at reviews after I've already formed a preliminary impression of the game from other sources, mostly as a way of confirming that the things I think I will like are done well and that there aren't any dealbreakers I didn't consider. Unless the score is quite low (like sub-60) or there's a significant disconnect between critic and user scores, I don't usually bother to dig much deeper than skimming them for confirmation. --- This is my signature.
