Do you find your local grocer is good enough quality for a brisket, or do you feel you need to go to an actual butcher shop to find a good cut?

Thinking about buying a brisket, but don't want to waste the money on buying a brisket that isn't up to par. I plan on going more into the meats this month than I ever have before.

In Texas HEB has great briskets in my experience. Sometimes they stock American wagyu briskets but I think prime is more than sufficient since you have to trim up the fat caps anyway.

There is this excellent little barbecue place owned by an American and his Korean wife.

Its American style with some Korean influence in flavoring, its great but its always packed and pricy. $23 for a pound of brisket and $32 for a full rack of ribs.
