What's bad about the list? It's basically conditions of a marriage, where there's no love left, which insofar as I am aware, was what had occurred, when the letter was written for them to come back together for the kids.

I don't know if I'd call that cruel considering it was an arrangement for their kids. Also considering the time period, pretty tame.

Honestly, it's still colder than cold, but factoring in the time period kinda changes this for me now.

The first three is expected from a marriage. The others you'd expect from a loveless marriage that's about to end. And it did.

You think it's still normal to demand that your wife quietly bow her head and leave the room immediately if your snap your fingers? Well, for some people it is, I suppose...

It's a practical arrangement if the rationale is, "We need to do whatever it takes to avoid having a shouting match that will upset our children", but I wouldn't call it a normal condition in a marriage.

If someone is asking you to leave "their space", are you not going to? That's literally what it says. If your wife or girlfriend is in her space says "Leave me alone", you're going to stand their and become menacing? If you read the whole article, the marriage was failing and this agreement was to try to keep things together for the kids, but Einstein just wanted to be left alone.

It was loveless, yes, but not cruel.

Initially I was putoff by the list but the man was a genius intellect. Maybe theres something to it?

That's not a double cousin. Double cousin is when siblings of one family have kids with the siblings of a different family making the cousins as genetically similar as half siblings.

from what ive seen online people want a genius rolemodel that they can imagine has studied to be a genius on every single topic ever. Its not the case he was a scientist not a pickup artist he married his cousin lol
