All of the great movies from the 80s and 90s and some from 00s. Terminator, Predator, Alien, Jurassic Park, Interstellar, Inception, etc. All of the greats use practical effects. Very little CGI. Also, Arnold Schwarzenegger. There are some great movies that use CGI, like the MCU movies, but there is something special when movies use practical effects. ... Copied to Clipboard!

Alteres posted... InceptionThe hallway fight was shot in a full-on rotating hallway. Pikachuchupika posted... Jurassic ParkJP was actually one of (quite possibly the) first major picture to use CGI for something other than blobs (T-1000 being an example). During production they were thinking of doing claymation as well as CGI and robotics, built incredibly detailed models for it. That got scrapped but they used the models to build the CGI and make it move as realistically as possible. The only straight up CGI shot I remember is the classic "Welcome to Jurassic Park" "holy shit that's like seven brontosusurruses" --- He/Him http://guidesmedia.ign.com/guides/9846/images/slowpoke.gif https://i.imgur.com/M8h2ATe.png https://i.imgur.com/6ezFwG1.png ...
