I know a lot of people have a lot of Obama nostalgia, but this was the guy who had Rahm Emmanual as his chief of staff. Neoliberalism was still the order of the day in the Democratic party and although Obama promised a lot of hope and change, neither was really delivered. So now he is slumming it talking to normal people about how hard it is to be working in modern day America in a new documentary series and it is like, is the guy really going to host this and we all pretend like the failed opportunity of his presidency and all the corporate bailouts that went along with it isn't at least in some small way responsible for increases in inequality in American society?

Like, I can't really think of anyone worse off to be hosting such a series other than Trump or Clinton.

Thanks obama

I have a real story about that meme. I was at an airport, and some white lady who, if you saw her, you'd immediately think "Karen" was having the meltdown of her life. She was complaining about how she was going to MISS HER FLIGHT and how bad everything was, and security had to get her and escort her out in a wheelchair because she wouldn't move, and her husband was just looking on embarrassed. But totally, as a non-sequitor, she ended her rant about how terrible the airport was with THANKS OBAMA. I absolutely couldn't stop myself from laughing.

Was that before, during, or after Obama's presidency?

Oh, that happened at the very end of the Obama years. I want to say like 2015ish.

I haven't watched the documentary, so I can't comment on it directly. But does he cover the issues you mentioned, even if he glosses over how he should have addressed them during his presidency? Or does he just focus on other factors contributing to inequality?
