Doesn't sound worth it. I wanted to play those extra MK8 tracks but didn't realize the fuckers were charging $25 for it. Where's the fucking Mario Kart Switch exclusive game anyway. Shit's been out for 6 years and they still got us playing a WiiU game and now paying $25 for old tracks.

And GBA games and the MK8 expansion.

But yeah, doesn't seem worth it so I just have the regular...which is itself barely worth it.

You need the expansion pack for the MK8 DLC? I thought that was included with the regular $20 switch online.

Not worth it to me. Especially since I hear that the emulation for the N64 is screwy.

No, it's included with the expansion pack, not the regular subscription.

The booster course pass is only needed if you want to play the courses offline/in single player for gran prix/time trial. If you just want to race on the courses to try them out then anyone is able to play on the new courses online. (The only thing you can't do if you don't own the pass during online play is use birdo and whatever else 5 characters they come up with. The next 2 characters should be due in june with wave 5).

I don't pay for nintendo's expansions because fuck that when I have a NES classic/SNES classic/PC/steam deck for my emulation needs, but I did buy the mario kart 8 deluxe DLC on it's own. The new courses to play offline and online is imo worth it.

*Just throwing it out there that you actually can buy the mario kart 8 deluxe booster course pass seperately and don't have to pay for nintendo's higher subs to get that*

You get the Splatoon 2 DLC as well included with it

I don't have Nintendo Online so can't try the new silver cups at all.

The expansion pass is N64, GBA, and Genesis games, plus DLC's.

You can buy the DLC's separately without the expansion pass, but if you have the expansion pass then you get them "free". Currently the DLC's are Animal Crossing, Splatoon 2, and Mario Kart courses. It originally launched with only N64 and Genesis games plus Animal Crossing DLC, they've since added the rest and will continue adding more later.

I see eBay sellers are selling 12 month spots in their Expansion Pack family plans for under $17.

Sounds better than $50.

Joined the family plan of some guy in England for $15.53 and playing the new MK8 courses.

Selling spots in family plans must be a good side hustle. There aren't many doing it on ebay and some guy in Malaysia sold 6 spots in less than 24 hours.
