Just now saw it's gone. I was in a bad mood earlier, but finding that out genuinely put a smile on my face and a skip in my step. If you haven't ever been there, imagine the absolute worst elements of the extreme left with radicalization, people openly calling for violence and heavy handed censorship. The most toxic place I've ever seen in my 20+ years on here.

I just want to know what happened. Did it somehow get worse in the past few months? It was just about a year ago that I remember the crazies on there referring to their political opponents "my enemies" and calling for another civil war. For real.

Woah, I didn't realize this till just now. I used to love browsing that place and posting my own spiels. People could get pretty heated, but honestly, the vibes are a lot more tame than this place. It was like the same tone, but a bit more grown up. I know people could go pretty far with assumptions that everyone is on the same left-wing agenda (which is kind of saying something for me to be making that observation), but at least people could usually stay away from personal attacks. If there's one good thing about of a bit of silencing of the board, maybe users can take notice that the real world (or in the US at least) is actually a lot more moderate or at least not so passionately left-leaning, and hopefully be more engaging toward the typical kind of person in day-to-day life. But still, my overall feeling of shutting that board down is that its a totally unnecessary silencing of a broad range of relevant issues to all our lives.

I have TC tagged as someone who tries to spread corona. It figures... people like that are the ones who keep celebrating the end of the board. He probably got chased away from there after getting modded one too many times promoting his war on medical science.
