We pay taxes for roads and firefighters and other things. We should pay for doctors through taxes. A government is supposed to take care of its citizens. Keeping them alive and healthy should be a free public service

If medical care and housing are considered human rights for a convicted murderer, then why are they not considered human rights for law abiding citizens?

I dont fucking have $700,000 for a house and I was denied Obamacare, so I have to fend for myself if I get hurt. Rent is $2400/month, so good luck saving up for a house

Make med school free.
Make all med care taxes payer funded.
Pay doctors minimum wage.

A few decades ago, I had a lot of misgivings about the governments ability to actually run it correctly. Other countries went through a lot of struggles and revamps to not have it collapse.

At this point, we have enough countries to copy off of and with how medical costs have spiraled, things couldn't be worse even if the government ran it poorly.

Nothing else matters if you're dead, so I agree. I think it's actually the most important thing in the world, despite our country not viewing it as a right.
