Scott Teal is a well known author-co-author of pro wrestling history books. That's probably why. Just seeing his name on the cover get people interested, and/or buy it. Like me for example. Think of it as Rockwell's Somebody's Watching Me with MJ just on the chorus

Funny thing about Don Fargo is that he's like the second wrestler in history with the most gimmick in his career next to Brutus Beefcake. He played a sailor, a motorcyclist, a gang member, a pirate, a Russian, a cowboy, a spaceman, an Atlas bodybuilder, etc, did he see this just as another gimmick? Only he knows, but he has been dead since 2015.

Its possible for people to hold contradictory beliefs, like many religious people. In this scenario, he is just simply objectively wrong on all accounts, but still would be a thing someone could legitimately believe about themselves.
