Some dive bars are still cheap but getting harder to find and usually are just shitty beer at those cheap prices

London prices are notoriously ridiculous.

I'm in New York State so everything is expensive, and $8 beers are pretty much the norm everywhere up here. Unless you want to go with Labatt Blue, which will be $5-6.
Its why I started drinking PBR and Coors. For whatever reason, these are the two cheapest beers you can get up here at around $10 for a twelve pack.

Coors light is $2.50

Yeungling is $3 imports are $3.50-5

Blue moon and troegs are $4-5

But I also don't live in a big city

Troegs, eh? You have a good dive bar. I used to have a fantastic one in downtown St Paul, but they sold to have goddamn lofts built. Used to have $2 PBR and $4 Summit and Surly (local craft brand).

I know cheap prices exist, but $8 for a pint in London doesn't sound far off from US cities at all. That was all I meant.

And I live pretty much 15 mins away from a troegs brewery. I hate it though.

What?!? They make good lagers and IPAs. I haven't had many tbh (not available here), but what I have had is good and they are well known.

I'm not a fan of how strong they are in flavor I guess. I could kill about a million yeunglings but 1 troegs and I probably won't finish it.

The brewery has an awesome restaurant in it though 10/10 food

Yeah definitely check it out. Very easy to find and get to and they give you free samples If you take the tour.
