And then they bring it back for Cross Tag Battle like that changes things.
Sure it was declining, nobody in Chrono Phantasma had even half the personality they did in Continuum Shift, but no dub at all was a bridge too far.

They were fun to play but the dialogue carried the franchise for me.
As is, it makes me think of that MVCI function debacle, it makes me want to call the game Blazblue Central Function.

It was great not having a dub. Game released much faster without it and I wasn't forced to listen to it when playing against dub users online

Those are some miniscule silver linings. Another would be me going Oh I saved some money and time not even buying the game at least.

I actually still don't even know how the story ends. I'm assuming Terumi dies after mistakenly eating a Mars Bar while on Jupiter.

Central Fiction's story mode was really bad. You didn't miss much there

I don't know the BlazBlue story as well as Guilty Gear, but I think the word you're looking for is Metal. Maybe ironic.

But this is also coming from someone who firmly believes Dizzy is best girl.

Blazblue really needs a new game.

I don't even think I finished Central Fiction's story. Man, did it get complicated and confusing. But yea, I do wish it was dubbed.

There's a lot of insane garbled stuff, but I'd take it over Guilty Gear.
Blazblue's had more dumb fun to it. The main character gets no respect and even the lame characters would get one over on him occasionally. Hakumen shoulders the majority of the serious stoic stuff on his own. Hazama and Relius were a riot and hard carried the franchise.

Guilty Gear's does nothing for me. The character designs are zany but the personalities never follow through. Something something the backyard that man something GEARS something.

I stopped keeping up with the games long before due to the numerous updates, cost, nonsensical story, and learning it learning curve for the most part.

Latter most especially turned me off from the series.

Oh you know what else?
They outright removed most of the unlimited characters.
That alone is like cutting a big chunk of the roster out.
What a disappointment of a game.
