Also very disappointed by this DE result. Looking like Jag/Matt/Bowie Jane will be F3. Bowie Jane has no shot against either of them. She will be seen as their puppet who didn't make her own decisions. She really needed to actually use this deuce to take a swing at either of them, instead of wasting this opportunity to instead... just get America out. Which is dumb, since America wasn't gunning for Bowie at all, was low on allies, and was unlikely to win a comp.

This is yet another instance of someone winning HOH in the DE and using it to lock themselves out of winning the game. Also costing herself a comp win is the most Cirie thing ever lol

AND he doesn't have to sacrifice his vote to get his idol. That was only the first idol on each tribe... which was never found on Belo AFAIK.

Based on these first 20 minutes there are already a handful of people being edited as potential boots - J, Kendra, Bruce, Katora, even Emily or Drew. That list is in order from most-to-least likely IMO.

Funny how Emily was going after him at the start for being more experienced than everyone else, and now he's one of the least experienced people left.

I'm thinking Carolyn and Yam Yam got lucky that Bruce got medevaced, because I think they fared much better with Carson as the third stooge than they would've with Bruce as the third stooge.

I still hate this but I'd be more okay with it if the members of the losing team still got to have an individual immunity challenge like in 41 and 42.

Easy enough for them to do with 90 minute episodes too. I presume the time constraint was the reason they didn't before.

Given that we only have around 40 minutes left, I wouldn't count on another immunity challenge tonight.

Yeah, merge boots in the new era (and even a little bit before that...I'm thinking as early as Chris Noble) tend to be the player who is going to upset the fewest people with their elimination. At the start of the merge, players are still trying to feel everyone out, so they tend to go for easy targets rather than big threats. I don't see a lot of people going to bat for J.

I also love how it's a vendetta just against J, but not against Kellie as much.

Also this Tribal is gonna be HECTIC. Kaleb trying to blow shit up knowing that Belo has turned on him. This is why you don't go after the middleman if you don't guarantee yourself majority after. That said, not sure why J is the target, since she's not with Belo.

This was insane.

Totally possible that draw was rigged, just for that MONSTER reaction.

Emily trying to blend in with the tribe by voting Kaleb may end up costing her the game. But I think it's J. Emily does not scream "merge boot" to me.

1st successful shot in the dark....obviously for Caleb. Man rolls charisma all day long.

That was awesome. For once, I'm hoping Kaleb can work some magic to keep himself around after all that, rather than wanting him to go for being too in-our-face and whatnot.

I think Bruce is going to help Kaleb survive the next vote.

Yes.

At least Cirie has made it deep 4/5 times she's played. F5 is the start of endgame in Big Brother and making it that far isn't anything to scoff at, especially for someone like Cirie who isn't very good at comps. Her being screwed this time is because of BB's format relying so much on comp strength.

Cirie wins against anyone in F2, given her likability and how unlikely she was to make it there. Might as well get rid of her now and keep mega-goat Bowie Jane (I repeat: her nominees in the Double were SO BAD) and wild card Felicia instead, since neither of them is winning against Matt or Jag.

That said, the vote could flip since Felicia has won a couple comps, so if she won F4 Veto, she could blow the game up. And that's the ONLY way neither Matt nor Jag wins the season.

Geez, Robbin & Chelsea would've been dead in the water if they got U-Turned,.

Actually, they might've still survived it with how far behind Liam & Yeremi were.

Liam & Yeremi were far behind all season. I'm honestly stunned they lasted as long as they did.

Another episode that I was drifting in and out for the second half of. Dang this show is on late. I'm not even sure I know who won the leg (I THINK it was Greg & John?).

Going forward I'll probably be watching BB on Paramount Plus at my leisure as opposed to making a point of watching it when it's on. The stupid schedule this year has made me extra conscious of the fact that three nights a week for three and a half months is a huge commitment for something of which my enjoyment is extremely inconsistent.

Oh yeah, I haven't mentioned yet - Kendra's edit fascinates me. She's had an unusually big edit for someone who hasn't had a lot of agency in the game yet, but I don't think she's the winner (I'm sticking with Kellie for now). Perhaps she's the first juror?

So let me get this straight. Tonight's episode will have:

-House reaction to Cirie's boot and Bowie's HoH win
-Nomination ceremony (basically a formality at the final four but still has to be shown)
-Veto comp
-Veto meeting (another formality but still)
-Noms pleading their case
-Live vote and eviction
-Eviction interview
-Final three getting messages from home

That's a LOT to squeeze into an hour

There's some debate as to when they're going to start the jury on Survivor due to the next episode being a double boot. The common opinion is that the first person booted will not be on the jury and the second person booted will, which is probably right but I kinda hate that since which tribe goes to tribal council first is entirely up to the immune person (I mean I hate the split tribal format anyway but that's another discussion entirely).

That tribal was wild and probably enough to get this season into a bunch of top watch lists. Unless the rest of the season just shits itself, which seems unlikely.

It's very much building Emily into a comeback winner story. Even if she doesn't win I can't imagine she is less than final 6. This tribal benefited her so much by joining the unanimous Kaleb vote while still keeping him around. Kaleb himself is totally screwed though. If he survives long he's definitely one of the best players.

I hate this episode every single season. Not only is it incredibly boring but it's also super forced.

They are "reminiscing" about things that only happened a few weeks prior, things that even the casuals would remember. It's stupid. The "recap episode" should do some backwards storytelling to fill in the gaps of the edited show. In other words: Make things make more sense due to what was feeds-only, so people who are watching it in five years can understand it better. I don't watch it for a reason. It's just a waste of time and doesn't serve any story purpose.

That said I really don't like that it's gonna be a two-hour finale with another finale night eviction. I'd have way preferred it to have been last night instead, with Parts 1 and 2 of the final HOH having been Sunday mixed with the necessary flashbacks I outlined above.

Kaleb - "How I made it to 28 without Bruce Perrault holding me by the hand.... is a myst'ry!"

Alright, so clearly the pre-challenge was all about why Bruce is pre-jury again.

Also I think Bruce is fine. Katurah ain't at Tribal with him.

Sifu was expected (the editors downplayed his edit so we wouldn't be too upset at his elimination).

Kaleb was expected once it was clear that the plan hinged on Katurah being willing to go to rocks to save two guys who hid Bruce's idol from her.

This season is still great despite stupid format things and twists and two pseudo quits and that bad boot right there. Like, astonishingly good considering all that. I could honestly see this landing in my top 10 and maybe could have been top 5 without all of the above.

Yeah, Sifu being pre-jury makes a lot of sense given his edit and I had kinda been expecting it since episode 3 or so.

I can't believe they let the Reba four survive both of those Tirbal Councils. Drew was a sitting duck and they just let him slide by.

Yeah, having back-to-back twists that overcomplicate the vote was unnecessary. Just like it was in S44.

Kaleb messed up by not telling Katurah the night prior if he had a shot, and apologizing that he didn't get a chance to tell her sooner if he did not. He did promise Bruce he'd keep her out of the loop and wouldn't have wanted to risk his game until he found out it was in trouble anyway.

Katurah didn't make the right choice, though. She's definitely beyond definitely #5 with Reba, and now she's severed her ties with Belo and doesn't have Kaleb in the game anymore. At least Kellie thought things through and realized that Bruce going instead of Sifu would've put Belo in a bind. But now Belo is just Kellie, Kendra, Jake, and Bruce anyway.

Geez, they have to score exactly 66? That's got to be the strictest challenge in a while.
