As a Gen Xer, in my early 20s I thought "We're the ironically detached generation! We all watched the Simpsons and we don't take ourselves seriously. We know how stupid older generations looked when they mocked things they didn't understand. We're not going to wallow in nostalgia and hate on the younger generations!" Man, I sure was wrong. And unfortunately the millenials are probably not immune either. On the bright side, I do think every generation is slightly less bad in that respect. For 90's kids those that regularly hit the gym were seen as muscle heads or richfolk.
