This reminds me of my dad. He'll say shit like "I love the blacks and the gays" which I guess is a product of his time and him trying to put good vibes out there. It's weird af though

Those two words netted me a good friend.

Years ago at work, I walked up to a co-worker who asked me, whats up? and me being the type who often goes for a laugh, slammed my hand on the counter and blurted, The Gays!

He looked at me with a stunned reaction, then burst out laughing. Like from the belly laughing. I didnt mean anything by it, and he knew me..Im definitely not a hater.

Anyway, a couple hours later were on break and he tells me hes gay. So its my turn to look stunned. Not because hes gay, but because of my silly outburst. Weve been good friends for about 10 years now.
