I don't regret it per se, but I don't use it as much as I should and there are a few issues that I've had to deal with.

Yeah, a little. A lot of games are hard to play and the battery dies very fast.

No I love it. I replaced most of the ps4 and switch games that I had already through Steam sales. The battery doesn't really bother me because I play in short bursts anyway.

Not one bit. I love the device. It's really going to come in handy next week when I have to travel out of town for work, for instance. Also, the customization of control schemes is pretty unrivaled (at least in my experience).

As for the battery, I think this is a bit of a moot point. What handheld gaming device doesn't have a short battery these days? The Switch dies quickly. Many of the Steam Deck competitor handheld PCs die quickly. Many gaming laptops die quickly. Cell phones and tablets when playing intensive games die quickly. The Vita and 3DS batteries weren't all that long either.

At least with USB-C charging, I can plug in a battery pack to charge it while I'm not playing but on the go.

I love it. I use it almost everyday. Battery issues are moot when I'm out because I have a powerbank that's perfect for it that more than doubles the battery life.

i just use it at home so the battery isn't an issue. haven't gotten a game to play on it in a while though.

I play mine on my dock but I haven't really been able to find many PC only games which let me play on it. I usually buy most games I can on PS5 which is why my xbox is sitting in dust with all those exclusive games.

No way. Tho I do favor a nice form factor and specialization over flexibility. Meaning switch is better than deck.
