I guess for the spirit of the topic, comedy "zany" meta games probably shouldn't count

But FFIX has 4 (Arguably 5) hidden bosses. And they are:

  1. A fat bloke if you catch 100 Frogs
  2. A literal giant book you find in a random room in a library (Off the beaten path while on a time limit) and is completely missible.
  3. Hades the God of the Underworld, you find behind a random pillar in the middle of no where and becomes a shop on defeat for no reason.
  4. A giant bouncy ball in the sky


4.5: A friendly Yam you find on Yam island.

It's like both the concept and location for the bosses came from throwing darts at random words on a wall.

The fat bloke is the only one who even has any background or story whatsoever.
And Hades is the only one who even looks like a convential video game boss fight

No I mean the bosses themselves are fucking random. Not the amount

I mean compare to Dragon Age. The hidden bosses are... Giant dragons.

Or the weapons in FF7/8 and 10 (Monster Arena too)
