Her next free night off work is Thursday, she said we could hang out then, and she also mentioned she might hang out with our mutual friend at a pool earlier in the day and invited me to that too.

So she probably doesn't hate me yet, but based off of past experiences it is impossible for me to be optimistic in situations like this.

Men should typically be speaking to multiple women at once. Focusing on one person is fine if the relationship becomes official.

Men focusing their time and energy on one person when you're still in the early dating stages is exactly why threads like this occur. Because you start worrying about texts from one person or start putting stuff in your head that may not reflect reality. When the reality is that a woman in the early dating stages can leave for any reason. Such as if a guy seems boring, doesn't have certain things in his life, finds someone who she deems better, etc.
