Yes, and I didnt really care. Unfortunately, education, intelligence, and work ethic come second to people with connections and Ive come to accept this.

No, its pretty much true anywhere. Someone who knows someone who works there instantly has an in that the rest of us dont. Hard work has not been rewarded in a long time.

Even the government is all based on old world family connections.

Organizations that do these things are terribly run, like some city and government establishments tend to be. Other for profit organizations go through great lengths to eliminate these typea of setbacks as it affects production and profits.

Small organizations that employ less than 500 employees may be small enough that they can get away with these type of practices
