I used to try to explain that I'd been given them by someone and I didn't know anything about the breed before I got them but now I just tell them to fuck off, I can't be bothered trying to win some moaning bore round. The thing is, I've probably been pretty lucky as the eldest is 11 and never needed treatment for anything other than usual shit... But even if he'd have dropped dead aged six, what does it matter to these people?
